That Mountain Man recipe sounds DELISH!!! I'm going to have to try that one out!!! As for the Mashed Potato's I've ALWAYS made home made! [Never used any boxed stuff! Well, except for .... well, I dunno what it's called! It's hot dogs, cooked, then sliced down the middle (not cut all the way through), slap some mashed potato's in the slit, then put a slice of cheese on it, and bake in the oven for a few minutes to get the cheese melted real good. VERY cheap meal, kids LOVE it! LOL But that was the ONLY time I've ever used boxed mashed potato's!]
I've never made my mashed potato's with garlic before! I also usually leave on the skins. Of course, wash the potato's very well, before you cook them!

That's how my mom always made them, so I guess that's what I prefer? I like them with or without the skins though

I also cube the potato's up. Especially with the skins on, this makes it easier for mashing, and not having HUGE chunks of skins in there
