I don't drink much cranberry juice (I'd rather eat those high carbs elsewhere!) but after this discussion, I checked out the new sugar-free and diet cranberry juice bottles today at the grocery store.

A couple of things:

The regular (Sweetened) cranberry juice contained 37 carbs per 8 oz. This version has corn syrup (yuck) added...

The "no sugar added" (still carbs from the juice, though) was still high at 35 carbs without the corn syrup.

I was surprised there wasn't a bigger difference than 2 carbs.

I did purchase the "diet" cranberry juice which only had a few carbs per small bottle. I like the taste of cranberry juice, but the regular is just too sweet for me...and I'm not even a low-carber.

I'm surprised at the little difference in carbs between the regular and the no-sugar added. Again...a marketing ploy...
