Make sure you get a good proxy!

At various times while I've been actively trying to lose weight, I noticed a steady drop of 5-10lbs and then plateau for weeks. What weight watchers (and others) say is when what you are doing stops working, do something else.

That could include vitamins, varying workout schedules and activities, adding a variety of foods that still meet your calorie/carb goals but kick up the taste buds.

Find a partner to work out with or even better compete with on the way to this goal. Someone to check in with and help keep you on track is invaluable.

After 5 weeks at around 225, I finally dipped below 220 and kept steadily at it until I was at 210. Very frustrating but eventually I made it.
