As i understand it, the Metformin will try to reduce any insulin resistance you may have. At the same time, Januvia blocks the DPP4 signal and allows more signals to be sent to your pancreas telling it to make more insulin.
at the same time Januvia lets more signals get through to your liver telling it not to produce glucose!
sounds like a good combo to me. a triple whammy!
not sure why it is supposed to help you lose weight.

My DE said that just getting off the Actos would make me lose weight. I was on Actos Plus Met and gained weight. I keep forgetting that it is more of a result of quitting the Actos. He did say though that the hormone thing in Janumet would help control my appetite.
