The pluses of Januvia are no weight gain and preservation of Beta cells. I didnt gain weight but still struggling with after meal BGs |
Correct - Janumet is Januvia and Metformin.
I have been on Actos Plus Met, which obviously, is Actos along with Metformin.
I have gained 20 pounds since first being DX and my doctor said it is most likely the Actos causing it. So, he just switched me to Janumet. So, I am still on the Metformin, just changed the Actos to Januvia. He said that just simply stopping the Actos should help me lose weight. I sure hope so!
The Metformin is the one that causes stomach problems, so that's why you had them when you added the Met.
