Now I'm waiting for this technology to produce a good, low-carb pizza. That's probably the only food that makes me shed a tear knowing I can't eat it....well, I can eat a small slice or two, but pizza's one of those foods where it's not much fun to only eat one or two slices. | Thread Jack! Try this and see if it works for you! I make this alot!
Pizza with a "crust"
Ingredients: Ground Hamburger (Raw) for crust.
Favorite Pizza toppings like
3/4 cup bell peppers
1/2 cup chopped black olives
2 large Portabello mushrooms chopped
Pepperoni/sausage
1 1/2 cup packaged shredded cheese
How To Prepare:
Press Hamburger into the bottom of any Pizza pan or baking pan, ( leave a little thick because the hamburger will shrink with cooking.
Place in oven at 400' and bake until cooked (remove to drain off grease.) Then spread with your favorite spagetti sauce (I use low carb) and top with stuff~!
Bake until cheese is melted.
Ive also seen a recipe where the "crust" is egg whites mixed with parmasan cheese and baked, then topped with cheese and toppings. Havent tried this yet.
