Byetta for weight loss?

I have my appointment soon with the endo on the 19th of this month. And I really really wanna try byetta. I have this hunger that I cannot control. I feel like I need to eat every 2 hours. I have read over and over that byetta has an appetite supressant. i really wanna get off of insulin. i dont want to be dependent on it. So my question is this, how do I go about asking the doctor for Byetta without sounding like a diet pill hunter?
