Gambi is correct, however if you learn how to use it correct, and can get it accurate then I don't see why you can't use it to reduce your finger sticks.

Prior to CGMS I was sticking myself 8-10 times a day.

Now with the CMGS I stick myself 3 or 4 times a day. I find my CGM is on the money with my finger stick about 90% of the time.
