| That article is really annoying me. The guy is a idiot both dating and diabetic wise, sorry. "i cant drink sangria?" how about "great idea", and then just drink dietcoke or whatnot. And as someone said, go to the beach for a jog, on a first date and not bring glucose? and have the guts to then say he can take care of himself after scaring her half to death? Mentioning dead in bed to a new date and have her lie awake at night? a couple of trips to the emergeny room in 3 months? I'm annoyed, because reading the article people might think that that's how it actually is to date a diabetic. It is not.
Im dating quite frequently, and decided not to tell my dates about the diabetes. If they ask, sure, but not otherwise. If all goes well, i'll tell them after a while. It's important for me to be able to do all these things like a non-diabetic, partying, dating, eating out and all that. And it is very possible, without having lows or highs. In fact, it's my biggest motivation to take care of my body and exercise, cos i doubt it would be as easy without such care. I feel i make enough sacrifices on a day to day basis as it is, im not going to let it affect the good stuff in life(dating that is, and all that comes with it, eh. and parties, oh and burgers, definitely burgers. oh and beer.)
i hope it's a fake article.
