Is your Novolog mix? I know when I had a mix (no longer do) the little ball that mixes it then would mean that some got left in each syringe.

I throw my SoloStars out before they are empty so I don't know but will try and remember to check next time I have one with a partial dose. Since I have "plenty" of pens, when I get to a partial dose at the end, rather than two shots, I start a new pen (I know that is probably too wasteful).
