Even though I am trying to gain weight, am I running risk of heart and kidney problems eating this way? Why do diebetics (type 1) have to eat any differently than people with out diabetes if you are giving yourself correction insulin? I am very frustrated and hate this disease!

Meds: 12 units of Lantus, 3-5 units of humalog with meals since 3/11/2008.
