When I was sick with DKA before you feel like your dying of thirst, so you drink cups and cups of water only to vomit them back up. The routine goes on over and over again. Then you start to feel like you can't catch your breath. It's the worst feeling.
These parents had a duty to care for their sick child. They chose to ignore it and now the poor girl is dead. I don't see this being anything other then murder. |
Sandi, I agree with you here. Anyone who has experienced DKA has experience He** on Earth.
When I had it, my mom knew something was terribly wrong. She called the doctor's office that morning and they said it was just a virus. She went on to work and called to check on me at 10. She realized I was getting worse and said she would be home to take me to the doctor at 11:30. I got out of bed, literally crawled to the bathroom and lied on the bathroom floor until she came home and found me there. My stupid doctor took one look at me and told her to take me straight to the ER. The rest is history (and I'm lucky to have survived it).
And I agree, the other teens in the home should be removed until the autopsy and a major investigation are completed.
