Not only are the parents guilty of abuse but there may be a minister and a community that are culpable for offering the kind of support that engenders this kind of faith response.

OTOH, as a nation we support religious freedom and allow many communities to set their own standards for education, health care, and even law. I believe Darwin will solve the problem in the long run.
