At least I didn't have to go the the hospital. I think many who are diagnosed with Type 1 are shipped off to the hospotal immediately.
And chained to a bed by a tube plugged into a machine, pumping "things" into you and every once in a while the "stuff" runs out and your blood begins to slowly move up the tube. That freaked me out at first , its all fun and games.
