Hi - i was reading about this in a book the other day, without going into the science of it, you are basically ok as long as you arent producing significant ketones. when i was first diagnosed before i began insulin i continued to swim and it brought my sugars down. also, if i am doing endurance swimming i will deliberately start with sugars around that level. i think the key is probably how long they have been running high. its all very individual!
