I was just out of a late cinema and just saw the last bus on my route home leave without me. Anyway I tested and see 22.7 / 408.6!! and said to myself "Power walk time" and did 6.5Km and that was done about 1 and a half hours work and no bolus!! too much to nibble on in the cinema. So when I arrived home it was a tolerable 7.4 / 133.2 and felt great.

Yes liz, I would know that in ballet there is talk about fueling the dancer and no fat was the topic and water as you will go though it so if you are about to do some exercise have a test as this will give you some idea what to put away in BG's.

Indeed!!! take note.

Yes, Please take this as a warning as know you limits.
wow - thats pretty good about your walk. the key to a good workout for me is 1)to have had a meal with a decent shot of insulin within the last 6 hours to make sure i have a good glycogen reserve 2)not to touch insulin for at least 4 hours preceding exercise 3)to have a tasty chocolate bar about an hour before. best chocs i think are ones that arent just pure choc and contain something that raises the GI such as glucose (mars bars!) etc. this flys in the face of what i have been advised but works for me!
