Interesting.

My current basal rate is 1.29 U/hr. Each U of insulin drops me about 35 mg/dL.

To walk an hour, I require between 1 U and 4 U of CHO, lest I go hypo. (I use dates and fruit juice, so I can get the quick spike as needed instead of climbing waaay high first.) I still need to sort out everything, but the 4 U CHO walks would point to insulin sensitivity of 1:60, as opposed to my normal 1:15.

(1.29 U/hr * 1 hr * 60/15 - 1.29 U = excess of 3.87 U "equivalent")

One test per day? Ambitious! I've tried to do that... but... separating covariables inevitably is more difficult than I'd like...

Were you still at university, you could always try to obtain research credits for hanging out on DF.
