I have to agree totally that we should see a doctor if we think we have diabetes.

My family has a history of diabetes. I lost one brother, in his 30's to diabetes. Now, another brother, around 60 is being treated for diabetes.

My doctor has been hounding me because I'm apparently in danger of being Type 2 diabetic. I've had some physicals and test recently to keep track of my situation.

My doctor says I've apparently improved because I've lost 6 pounds in 6 months (I weigh 326 pounds), and glucose serum level has gone down from 120 in August 2006 to 98 this month.

I'm still confused because I think I've experienced some of the more worrisome symptoms, and he might not understand that.

I've resolved to get out more and walk in order to lose weight. And I'm more convinced than ever to reduce my sugar intake.

At any rate, I think this forum will be good for me, as it has been for others.
