Sorry to hear you didn't get great results. Do you know why the numbers have climbed up? Is there anything you are struggling with? I'm a Type 2 not on insulin, but if there are specific problems I'm sure some of the T1's here could help.
In relation to the anti-depressants, I would never try and convince somebody to take pills they don't need (personally I only take a pill if the Doctor is really sure I need it) but if you need some medicanal help, then do consider it. One of my friends has suffered from depression on and off for some years and told me that she doesn't like taking tablets as it labels her as being mentally ill, she said that she feels the problem with that is that she would prefer a broken leg as people could clearly see it as an illness and nothing more.
