| I fail to see how antidepressants would improve your A1c. If you feel you need them, talk with a qualified professional. Otherwise... you've turned lower A1c numbers before, and probably can do so again. If something is changing in your body, I imagine that testing/adjustments would be the most logical approach.
Did you have a short period where you ran particularly high? e.g., a couple weeks of being sick with BG 200 mg/dL above normal? If so, that wouldn't do your A1c any favors; said example could account for a 1% increase.
Your profile mentions yelling at kids; I suspect you have some stress in play, too.
