| for the record, since i have been on the one a day mens vitamins, and Chromax chromium suppliment,i seem to have much better control over my BG levels. infact the difference was astounding.i stopped taking my levimir, and now watch my diet, and take my vitamins everyday.if i go out to eat i will take small dose of levimir about 15 units to help control my BG level because when i eat out i tend not to be as careful of what i eat.
the other day i went to TGI fridays and got the combo Fajitas with the steak and chicken, they give you white flour tortillas (very bad for us diabetics to eat ) i had 3 of these fajitas and when i came home a couple hours later i was at a 220 mg/d; BG level, a quick shot of levimir, and 10 min on my exercise bike brought that down to more acceptable numbers within the hour (140 mg/dl ) at least in my experience the vitamins are definatly worthwhile and DO help.
i am going to share these results with my doctor as he has no clue yet,and see what he says,i am going to see about getting on metmorfin to help further keep my BG in check. |
