First, I doubt seriously if you've offended anyone even a little. Second, everyone has times when they can't live up to their expectations so go easy on yourself.

Now that you've got that covered, the testing and needle pushing aren't going away. As Sue suggested, a pump could make life quite a bit easier but testing isn't going anywhere for a while. It's just not helpful to hate the tests. They are your path to health & long life.
