Doctor Duh....

Ok.... so reeaaaallllly long story kinda short. I have a blocked salivary gland... this has been going on 6 weeks, and have had two minor surgeries on it; still blocked. On insurance had to switch from oral surgeon/dental plan to health care plan and see some specialists.

Saw the Ear Nose and Throat specialist today. I told him that my FBG has been 5-20 points higher in the AM due to the worst pain being at night.

He responds.... "it is not infected, it can not raise your BG".

Duh.

Felt like saying... You listen to your body, I'll listen to mine. Oh, and read up chucko! This sucker HURTS ... I mean REALLY HURTS all the time, worst at night... and my FBG goes up the worse it hurts!

On a semi related topic.... I also saw my endo today.... he called me a SuperStar patient!!!!! (I excel input EVERYTHING, and test 4-6 times a day... and my Ha1c is 6.2) He told me good luck trying to conceive and reconfirmed my numbers are clear to do so. He asked that I cut the ENT doc some slack "not his specialty" Argh. Hope he "talks" to him!
