BTW these drugs, particularly metformin, are difficult to assess this way. Met builds up in your system and can take weeks to become effective. You won't see immediate results stopping and starting it.
I suspect your conclusions are right, but this test is not valid. This type of testing is great for insulin and is the foundation of basal testing.
