I thought it could have been one of those needles that are clear plastic and not white plastic... i have some of those... but yeh, it does look a lot like there's no needle there...
I think you have to ask the question though... if you weren't diabetic and didn't know about the tools we use in our daily lives... seeing something like that could make you concerned.
I think as diabetics we should all be careful where we throw things away, or we coule end up making a bad reputation for ourselves!
