Going to Concerts? I haven't gone to a concert (big one) since I've gotten diagnosed. I've been to all sorts of shows with my wife because she is so affiliated with the theater world, but not too a concert lately. Usually at the other shows I can sneak out at intermission or something to just shoot my lantus at 10 like I usually do. I just wonder about other things at an intense concert though.. like lows where you can't take in any foods (glucose tabs) and you have to stand in line for ever to get a soda. Do any of you have any suggestions...?
I used to be a huge concert goer and now I kinda stray away, but since my wife has never been to a concert (go figure), For our 11 year anniversary (yeah I know I'm only 26) we're going to a Billy Joel concert. While I know its not going to be the same as being on the floor at a Nine Inch Nails or Green day concert, these things still worry me. I'll put off the lantus till after but what if.. you know. I can keep myself high, but I hate trying to get it back to normal. Of course as luck would have it, its on a Sunday which means with a hour drive home sleep will be at a minimum. I live in Dayton which is about 1 hr away from the said concert.
Just wondering what others do.. I miss the music world.. |
