Tdd

Total daily dosage (TDD) is the sum of the dayily basal and bolus insulins. I am a pumper and there is an option on my pump that allows me to see my TDD for the last two weeks or so, one day at a time. My average TDD is 40 units. If I decrease my carb intake I will need less insulin and my TDD will become smaller. As the TDD is reduced then my weight will also be reduced. The fewer carbs we eat the less insulin we need and the more weight we will lose.
