You sound like me, I had a TDD as little as 12.5 at one point, its gradually creeping upwards. I think some people get sudden jumps and others are much slower. You will almost definitely need more insulin once the honey moon is over. Only way to increase the length of the honey moon is a good diet, lots of exercise and sufficient amount of basal/bolus. Less work you give your pancreas the more chance it has of regenerating those beta cells.
