My blood pressure ran higher when I was pre-DX, but suffering from the symptoms [which I didn't recognize at the time]. I typically was 155/90, but hit as high as 170/95. I weighed less than 160 pounds -- not exactly overweight for a 5'11" person.

With BG in range, I'm find myself around 140/80 if I skip a day (20 mg) of Benicar. With the Benicar, my numbers come at or below 130/75 -- usually around 120/70. I get headaches when my BP hits 135/80 or so.

I need to get back to exercising to see if I can drop my BP the right way. Once upon a time, I was 110/65 all day long...

Despite being told by hospital (where DX happened) staff that hyperglycemia cannot cause hypertension, I observed a correlation. When I was in ICU with all the monitoring, I could watch my BP rise and fall with BG.
