Following is some of the news (courtesy of Cyclingnews.com). Team Type-1 was out there in the breakaway -- for those not familiar with bicycle racing, that is the way you get the team noticed because the TV cameras always cover the breakaways and your sponsor gets TV time.

In an exciting final sprint, coming at the end of a few circuits in Gainesville, Georgia, Team High Road's Gregory Henderson took victory after finishing second yesterday in stage two and eighth in stage one. He was followed by team-mate André Greipel and Slipstream's Tyler Farrar.

With Henderson's win also came the overall race lead and the points classification lead after former leader Ivan Dominguez (Toyota - United Pro Cycling Team) dropped off the peloton's pace in the final circuits.

Four men dominated the day's racing with a lengthy break including Scott Zwizanski (Bissell), Frank Pipp (Health Net p/b Maxxis), Moises Aldape Chavez (Team Type 1) and Rhys Pollock (GE Trek - Marco Polo). As the gap to the leaders closed, Zwizanski and Aldape Chavez were the first to drop from the break. Then Pollack fell back while Pipp held on a bit longer. Eventually he, too, was caught by the charging pack. Team High Road dominated the run-up to the finish on the final circuits with brief interuptions due to attacks from Rory Sutherland (Health Net p/b Maxxis) and Oscar Sevilla (Rock Racing).

A high-speed pile-up of about six riders occurred just as the four-man break was establishing itself. All the riders excepting Timothy Duggan (Slipstream Chipotle p/b H30) got up and rejoined the race. Duggan was taken by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
