Tomorrow I get my continuous glucose monitoring system "installed" in me. How do they do this? What does it do, how does it work. What will this tell the drs.

A1C: 6.4 (10/15/2007) Diet & exercise
A1C: 6.9 (12/15/2007) Diet & exercise
A1C: 6.9 (03/08/2008) 8 units of Lantus
A1c: 6.1 (6/17/2008) 12u lantus, 4u humalog w/ meals
Meds: 12 units of Lantus, 3-5 units of humalog with meals since 3/11/2008.
