Check out the posting on alcohol here. It isn't a bad thing for a diabetic (in as far as it is a bad or good thing otherwise). Alcohol
through known mechanisms having to do with the liver and glucose lowers blood glucose, if you don't injest carbs with the drink (as with a mixer or with beer). Dry wine is perfectly OK, so is a straight shot of vodka! You take responsibility for your own behavior.
