Are you honey mooning? Depending on how you have your basals set is the answer to that question, I would always correct a 9mmol/L high, unless you have your basal dose set really high. Would you normally experience a 4mmol/L drop over night? On MDI if I had pizza I would dose for the entire thing, then test 2 and half hours later, correcting if necessary. I haven't done this since i started carb counting mind. This wouldn’t work for some people they would choose to dose half before the pizza and then the rest two hours later. It really depends on you, I would try the first method I suggested if it works then you know. Make sure you test before, 2 hours later and 4 hours later, you can then see how pizza affects you.
