I'm not on insulin, but there are worse things than having to take it. I count carbs NOW! IMHO, every person with D needs to know how to do it, regardless of type. You just can't control it, otherwise. Of course, with insulin, you have to be more exact about the amount, but it helps to have a general idea to start with.

Some carbs are necessary for energy and well-being. If Humalog or another rapid action insulin is what you need, take it and eat healthfully and happily!
