I wear cargo shorts/pants all the time. Really all I carry with me is my BG meter. I have spare infusion sets in my medic bag and at work so I always have those with me. Then at work I have a spare vial of insulin. Pretty much I'm close enough to either one if needed to drive there and pick it up if an infusion set fails.
