I am sorry you still are not doing well. Your doctor may try adding another medicine or he may wait a few more weeks to see if the extra metformin will make a difference. I have been told that eventually all t2 will need insulin because D is a progressive disease. The harder the pancreas has to work to make enough insulin the sooner it wears out.
Don't get discourage and don't feel like you have failed if you need insulin. Some believe that t2's do better when insulin is started early.
