Welcome.

You may need insulin certainly but rather than treating that as a failure of sorts, look at it as the life elevating drug it is. Injections are easy for most people with just a bit of practice. And, the benefits are nearly instantaneous. I felt so much better so quickly I could have kicked myself for putting it off 6 months.

Have you had an A1c yet?
You say you are type 2 but have you had a test to confirm that?
Have you tried restricting carbs? High carb meals can overshadow any drug's effect.
