Caffiene DOES make my glucose numbers higher and specifically my first thing in the morning, before I've had my coffee for the day, numbers. It really surprised me to find this out. When I got off the caffiene, my morning fasting numbers improved by about 20% which is substantial. For me, caffiene on Monday morning effects my waking glucose numbers on Tuesday morning. And, there's no one who loves caffiene more than me. I wish it didn't hurt me like it does... Now I do let myself have it, but only one weekend day per week, and just one cup (but it's a BIG cup).
