| I had fatty liver at diagnosis and my liver panel was elevated. Doc told me this was very common in newly diagnosed diabetics, and if I got my blood sugars under control this should resolve. 3 months later (and every test since) it has been within normal limits.
Don't be overly concerned, just get your blood sugars under control, drop some weight if you need to and don't be surprised if you have to have more tests drawn at your next visit to make sure things are normalizing.
