1. What type of diabetes do you have? type 2

2. At what age were you diagnosed? 34

3. What type of treatment are you using? two oral meds, low carb diet, exercise, supplement r-ALA

4. Do you control it yourself (testing, insulin)? If not, who does? Yes, because I am not an infant.

5. How many times a day do you test yourself? about five. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

6. Does it affect your confidence level at all? Overall, I'd say no, although it probably does contribute to my understanding that I get get through things that are at first scary and threatening.

7. Are you more careful with your diabetes when you are out with your peers? About the same as when at home or work.

8. How many times a week do you exercise? Right now every day without rain.

9. How many times a week does your blood glucose go low? Not normally a problem right now.

10. How many times a week does it go high? Hmm, high? Even harder to answer than low. But if you just leave me to my own strict standards as to what is high, I'd probably say about five times. But we are not talking ketoacidosis high. We are not even talking American Diabetes Foundation blood-glucose-under-180-two-hours-after-eating high. We are talking slipperyelm-wants-to-be-105-or-lower-after-2 hours high

11. Have you ever been to some time of camp or a support group for diabetes? No.
