I haven't used my Aviva very often yet. Still using up strips from my old meter. I was having some issues with it reading WAY higher than my old one when I first got it, which was not accurate, when compared with my latest A1C. I didn't stop to think that it had been sitting in a hot car for the entire morning. I've come to the conclusion that these little boogers are pretty temp-sensitive.

Once it had been at room temp for 24 hours, it started reading right along with my old meter--usually within 5 points, but rarely more than 10.

FWIW, I'd go with the meter my insurance company covers strips for. That's one reason I got the Aviva to start with. I've heard every meter on your page both cussed and praised. LOL. Now isn't that helpful? Heh.

Good luck in your choice!
