| It depends on the reason for being high. If high blood suagr is caused by lack of insulin, like what happens with the onset of T1, weight loss is likely. But if you are high because you are insulin resistant, insulin levels will be high. This stops the burning fof at, and the extra glucose is converted to triglycerides before being stored as fat. So weight gain is likely.
