For me, the pump has returned the experience of "feeling healthy" to my life. A week into pumping, I realised that for my 15 years of MDI, I was under a malaise of feeling constantly under the weather and "off" in mind and body, from swinging blood sugars.

It is not something I think makes things "easier"... rather, it facilitates me being healthier, in turn returning energy and life force to me. It also provides options to be a lot more flexible with my lifestyle, such as eating light with no real effort to adjust, and excercise with the tools to really minimise "managing" my BG over that period.
