Hi,
The 2020 is my first pump and I've only been on for a few weeks. I cannot compare it to others as I have no experience of actually using them, but I'm happy with my choice so far.
When you say you are lazy with your diet, can you explain? Is it that you eat (what you consider to be) badly or is it that you don't match the insulin to the carbs / GI / general content of the meal? Pumping could help you, but it isn't a magic bullet. If you do not take the time to carb count / basal test / blood test loads etc then a pump is a pretty expensive yo-yo on a plastic tube. If you are willing to put the time into learning how your body reacts to insulin in different situations then the level of stability and fine tuning that pumping is capable of will be a very nice reward

A poem about my Wonderously Wanton Basal (WWB)and it Felicitous Flirtations (and how I tamed its Wicked Ways)
...And through the night it's love is free
It whispers and it flirts with me
And then it takes me, hard and deep
Rolls over, farts and falls asleep
And I would wake up, feeling used
My body broken, bent, abused
But now I match it, hump for hump
I give it plenty with my pump
