But for those of you who are pre-D's and Type 2's (not on insulin) Do you ever "mix-up" your carb count for the day??
Lots of people here have mentioned eating very low carb breakfasts (under 15), 20 or so for lunch, and maybe 30 for dinner if that and finally no more than 15g for each snack.
Today, I had a low carb breakfast (cottage cheese and some slices of turkey deli meat, and a low carb lunch (omlet and sausage) but I broke down and had a snack of 11 tortilla chips and a couple of tbs. of melted cheese sauce. I estimated the snack to be around 30g. of carbs.
For dinner I plan to eat a spinach salad (low carb) Will eating a high carb snack once in a while be harmful??
Again, not entirely sure if I am pre-D or not but I have been eating and exercising as if I am. I've lost 20 lbs in roughly 6-8
weeks and do cheat from time to time. I just love food too much to give up on my favorite junk foods forever. |
