I know how to control my diet but I guess I am having a hard time planning my diet for the week. In the trade that I am in we could be anywhere at anytime in four surrounding counties and alot of times we are in the mountains. I guess what I meant buy being lazy with diet is that I don't plan it very well. I am still learning on how to fine tune my carb counting. I definitely need to carry my lunch to work. Thats the meal I probably go over on carbs. I haven't been consistant with my meals either. Like eating at the same time everyday. I definitly eat breakfast pretty close to the same time but not lunch. I used to skip breakfast before I was diagnosed. I also used to skip lunch alot of times. I eat every meal now but not on schedule. I only take one shot in the morning. I am hearing this is a honeymoon stage. But I would just as well go to the pump now and get my A1C lower and get off metformin. I have highs and some lows during the day depending on hard I work and burn them carbs. I am understanding that a pump helps with consistant BG readings. Thanks Gary for replying.
