I use eight fingers: all but my index fingers. Hurts too bleeping much. I test 5-7 times per day, sometimes more, depending on how I feel. Maybe, when I've got a better handle on what my body will take and what it won't, I'll cut down on my frequency.

I like Aveeno lotion for softer fingers. There's always the lotion and cotton gloves solution overnight, too!
