Talking Allo Allo

Just a quick hello since I'm new here. I've been a type one diabetic for 17 years and thought I'd re-educate myself on some of the basics since they tend to get fuzzy as you go through certain parts of your life eh?...

Or at least they did for me. So, I'll be lurking around looking for useful info on things that I've forgotten about. I exercise a lot and don't have a love of food so that's naturally kept me pretty healthy, but all I remember my doctors telling me when I was diagnosed (8 years old) were things like I can eat as much cheese and meat, I just have to watch carb intake... never questioned it until now...and I don't know why--it seems so relevant no?

Anyway, you can see, I tend to ramble. I promise not to do so if/when I reply to posts.

Live healthy peeps! ^_^

Oh! and I welcome any questions about anything or experiences and such...I've unfortunately abused my body with hard drugs and alcohol during some younger years so if you had that curiosity and how it affects diabetics, I might be of help. >_>
