Weather plays a siginifcant role in my insulin intake.

Remember during colder weather your body will work more to stay warm (shivering, generally more movement, etc), and will therefore rely on less insulin basal and sometimes bolus as well.

Warmer weather allows your body to rest and not work to stay warm, and therefore can effictively/comparatively send blood sugars higher than what they would in cooler weather. I noticed this when i moved overseas for 8 months from a 35 degree summer to a -10 winter, and was going hypo *ALL* the time. My endo explained this phenomenon to me when i arrived back home

This also may be because you are generally more active in summer, and this offsets the general effects your body gives to insulin by working during colder days.

You probably get out more and walk around more in Summer than you do in Winter.

You'd be surprised at just how much weather can play a part on your insulin intake needs

Anyway, I hope this helps
