Welcome to the club!

In addition to what others have already said, if you cannot get straight answers and still want to investigate the possibility of you having diabetes, Wal-mart has a very cheap blood glucose meter & strip system. Reli-on is their brand I think. Test 2 hours after every meal for a couple days. If the results are at or below 100, donate the meter to a group that can use it. If not, show the results to the doc.
